Hine
Located in the heart of Grande Champagne, the Cognac region's premium wine-growing region, the Hine house has been producing some of the most exquisite Cognacs for six generations, when it was even better known as T Hine & Co Cognac.
The estate has an exceptional 173 acres of vineyards, and the house has a very special tradition of producing relatively small quantities - but with a very high standard of quality. One of their trademarks is storing their vintage casks in vapor cellars in Bristol, England. In this way, the Thomas Hine Cognac goes through a uniquely different ripening process due to the humidity of the seaside resort, which is slightly different from that of the south-western coast of France.
H by Hine
H by Hine VSOP is a blend of 15 Petit Champagne eau-de-vieux, in which the youngest cognac is 4 years old. Lots of sweet scents; cream, vanilla and apple blossom. The taste is fruity with floral notes. The finish is medium long and contains more fruits.
Fragrance: Expressive yet discreet, with notes of iris, fresh apricot, acacia and white pepper.
Taste: Quite fruity, with a hint of vanilla.
Finish: The floral notes are clear and give a bright edge to the aftertaste.
Signature drink: Lively and elegant, this VSOP is great on its own, but also the ideal ingredient for cocktails and mixed drinks. Try it with a splash of cold tonic, cider, or ginger ale, topped with a hint of lime, cucumber, or rosemary.
Hine Rare
Hine Rare VSOP Cognac is a Fine Champagne. This means that this brandy has been produced from at least 50% Grande Champagne cognacs and the rest of the brandy can only come from the Petite Champagne region. This method creates a beautiful cognac of very high quality. The 20 different Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie are aged for at least 8 years in traditional French Limousin oak barrels, a tribute to Hine's heritage and the history of the Cognac House of Fine Craftsmanship.
Smell: Aromas of roasted nectarines, ripe apricots and juicy melon inspire the lingering first sip, while orange resin, oak and vanilla give it a mature feel.
Taste: Beautiful expression of the fruity flavors that characterize the white wines produced from Charente vines.
Finish: Ginger, chocolate, orange and oak slowly fade to a dried fruit finish.
Signature drink: This is the perfect accompaniment to sumptuous chocolate desserts or hot espresso.
Hine Antique XL
This Hine XO Antique Grande Champagne Cognac is an innovation, a relic from Georges Hine's time that was brought to life for the modern Cognac connoisseur. The recipe was developed by Hine himself in 1920, and was relaunched by the Cognac House as a single cru XO in 2010. The 40 different Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie are on average 20 years old and aged for at least 10 years in traditional French Limousin oak barrels, a tribute to Hine's heritage and the history of the Cognac House of Fine Craftsmanship. In 2013, it was awarded gold at the International Wine and Spirit Competition.
Smell: Aromas of salty vanilla and oak, shades of fresh green fruit.
Taste: Finely spiced, hazelnut, quince, fig pie and blond tobacco. It reveals some amazing scents of sweet vanilla, green fruits, light spices on the tongue. The palate again contains herbs and a lot of earthy notes.
Finish: A long and persistent finish.
Signature drink: Great to sip with a cheese platter.
